Cameron Schultz
EmbroidMe is the world’s largest embroidery franchise, with more than 450 retail outlets in eight countries. Cam Schultz, owner/manager of a San Diego franchise, uses her expertise to develop custom wearables and promotional items for businesses and organizations. Embroidered shirts are just the start of what EmbroidMe offers. More than 800,000 promotional items, printed apparel, and all kinds of personalized gifts are also available from this multi-faceted company.
A transplanted Midwestern farm girl, Cam originally thought she’d be an engineer. She did start two small engineering research consulting firms, but realized she liked being an entrepreneur even better than being an engineer. She purchased an Aussie Pet Mobile franchise in 2002, which she still runs with great success. Cam has been repeatedly recognized as one of the top Aussie Pet Mobile franchisees nationwide and she was rewarded with an appointment to the franchise’s prestigious President’s Council. She got involved with EmbroidMe in early 2007 to find an outlet for her creative side, with the knowledge that Aussie had considerable difficulty finding a reliable, responsive embroidery company.
What both businesses have in common is Cam’s philosophy about the importance of great customer service, and her desire that her companies should be great places to work. She really cares about her customers and her employees — and it shows!
